Insights Discovery® is a psychometric tool based on the psychology of Carl Jung.  It uses a four-colour model to highlight key personality preferences and associated behaviours, thus helping people understand themselves and others.  Used for individual performance or wider team development within the workplace, this increased awareness enables more respectful, productive and positive working relationships, even across virtual boundaries.

At LifeForward we use Insights Discovery® in our workshops and one-to-one executive coaching as a tool to develop self-awareness and understanding. Insights Discovery® is a practical and visual model which builds on Carl Jung’s 8-type wheel to describe preferences in terms of colour energies.

It allows people to easily recognise and understand differing personality styles and preferences and provides a common language for adapting and improving communication, teamwork and leadership capabilities.

The use of four colour energies – Fiery Red, Sunshine Yellow, Earth Green and Cool Blue – creates a memorable common language and framework on which participants can base their future interactions.

Once individuals and teams are familiar with the language of the four colour energies in the Insights Discovery® model there are many different ways to continue the development journey. Insights Discovery® offers rich and diverse content to help people enhance relationships, communication and the connectivity, essential to high-performance. It also offers a clear framework for leadership development, providing the opportunity to explore leadership strengths and areas for development.  There is also an opportunity to develop key emotional competencies such as self-management, influencing others, empathy and managing conflict. 

Building on the Insights Discovery® personal profile, and using the Insights evaluation, the Insights Discovery® Transformational Leadership profile is a personalised leadership profile that provides leaders with information about how they perform across eight essential leadership dimensions, as well as an overview of their leadership approach.
